Bids for equipment and equipment repair parts that are estimated to cost between $5,000 and $200,000 will be administered by the Department of Transportation's Procurement Services Section. They may be contacted at 406-444-6365. Their bids will also be listed on the web page noted below.
The Department's major equipment purchases (estimated costs $200,000 and higher) are bid through the Department of Administration (DOA) - State Procurement Bureau. These purchases would include items such as the tandem axle cab and chassis, dump box, sanders, loaders, mowers, light duty vehicles, plows, lab and office trailers etc. The Dept of Admin also posts all the bids on their web page at the following web address: https://spb.mt.gov/Vendor-Resources/.
Vendors List: If you want to be placed on Equipment Bureau vendors list for one or more commodities, you will need to send in the following:
- Line card detailing commodities your company can provide.
- Business card of contact person (Name, Phone number, Fax Number etc.)
- Complete address of company and remittance address if different than company address.
- Current Literature of the various items if available.
