  • Crews are removing and replacing damaged concrete panels and completing other repairs at 5th Avenue.
  • Surface grinding on the east end of the project is complete. This week will cover 3rd Avenue West to 1st Avenue and continue west to east in segments of about four blocks at a time.
  • Crews are beginning joint cleaning and resealing on the east side of the project, starting near 22nd Avenue Northeast and continuing west.

Traffic Control

  • Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction and is being guided by traffic control devices in active work areas.
  • Minimal delays are anticipated, but travelers should plan for extra time. Speeds will be reduced to 25 to 35 mph or the posted speed, whichever is lower.
  • Access to businesses will be maintained and clearly marked with traffic control devices.
  • Wide loads are not restricted at this time but may be delayed depending on operations.

  • Surface grinding will begin in segments, moving from the west end of the project east to 15th Avenue, then restarting from west to east.

  • Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction and is being guided by traffic control devices in active work areas.
  • Minimal delays are anticipated, but travelers should plan for extra time. Speeds will be reduced to 25 to 35 mph or the posted speed, whichever is lower.

  • Work will continue to occur in segments moving from west to east.

  • Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction and is being guided by traffic control devices in active work areas.

This week:

  • Work in the eastbound outside lane of First Street (U.S. Highway 2) has been completed and has shifted to the westbound outside lane.
  • Crews are removing and replacing damaged concrete panels and completing other repairs as part of the first phase of work.
  • Toward the end of the week, work is expected to move to the eastbound middle and inside lanes and may occur at the same time in both directions.
  • Surface grinding will begin in a second phase once most panel repairs are complete.
  • Work will take place in four- to five-block segments and move from the outer lanes toward the center of the roadway.

  • Work will occur in four- to five-block segments and will move from the outer lanes toward the center of the roadway in stages.
