The Johnson Lane Interchange will be Montana’s first Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI), an intersection style that offers many safety benefits. A video simulating traffic flow through Johnson Lane Interchange is available here.
This project segment will also include work on adjacent streets and intersections to improve the operation of the interchange. These will include:
- Johnson Lane
- North Frontage Road
- Old Hardin Road
- Cole Street
- Becraft Lane
Granite Construction and LHC Inc. provided construction manager/general contractor services through the design phase. The project will be advertised to select a contractor to construct the project segment in mid-2026.
