Sidney Truck Route logo

Overview

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) was requested by the City of Sidney to conduct a truck route study for the Sidney area. The primary purpose of the study was examining whether a truck route around Sidney was justified and had community support. The study considered alignment corridor options, opportunities and constraints, and financial feasibility of a Sidney truck route. The need for a truck route, if any, and cost estimates were identified. Public and agency outreach was an important component of the study effort.
