Traffic Control Update:

MDT and Knife River plan to begin applying permanent pavement markings to the roadway the week of July 22, starting with Interstate 90 (I-90) before moving to the Mossmain, Zoo Drive, and West Billings Interchange ramps. Work is expected to take approximately one week. Please watch for changing traffic control and be aware of wet paint when passing.

Project Overview

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Knife River are improving Interstate 90 (I 90) from the west bridge ends of the Mossmain Interchange (Exit 437) to the east bridge ends of the West Billings (Exit 446) Interchange. The project will include resurfacing the deteriorated roadway, the addition of roadway safety enhancements, widening the decks of the I 90 bridges over South 56th Street West, resurfacing the remaining I 90 bridge decks, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance upgrades to the West Billings Interchange. The roadway safety enhancements for this project will include new rumble strips, guardrail, concrete median barrier, signage, and pavement markings.
