...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Montana...



  Clarks Fork Of The Yellowstone near Belfry affecting Carbon County

  Clarks Fork Of The Yellowstone at Edgar affecting Carbon County



.The river level is decreasing on the Clarks Fork of the 

Yellowstone near Belfry. The river will remain at or just below flood 

stage today. The river level is expected to decrease on the 

Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone near Edgar this afternoon and then 

continue to slowly drop through the day Wednesday.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Safety message...This river flood statement means river flooding is 

expected to continue to impact people and property in the warned 

area.

* At 10 AM Tuesday the stage was 7.9 feet.

* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river will fluctuate around flood stage.

* At 10 AM Tuesday the stage was 8.9 feet.

* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring. The forecast is for Minor flooding.

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a



* Flood Advisory for...



  Kehrwald Drive and Tower Street in South central Missoula County 

in west central Montana...



* Until 915 AM MDT Wednesday



* At 900 AM MDT on Tuesday, an NWS employee reported street flooding 

  on Kehrwald Street and Tower Street in the Orchard Homes 

  neighborhood of Missoula. The flooding was a result of the Clark 

  Fork River rising due to recent rainfall.  The Clark Fork River is 

  forecast to rise an additional foot by Wednesday morning then 

  gradually subside through the remainder of Wednesday.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding

of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM MDT WEDNESDAY FOR

TETON COUNTY...



At 1020 AM MDT Tuesday, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges 

indicated an area of very heavy rainfall across the warned area. 3 

to 8 inches have fallen in the last 3 days. Additional rainfall 

amounts of one-quarter to one-half inch are possible in the warned 

area through this evening.



A Flood Warning is also in effect for the Sun River. 



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.
