Proposed Repair Of Hwy93 Bridge Over E Fork Bitterroot River

Conner, MT - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would
like to announce and invite the public to comment on a proposal to
repair the existing bridge deck over the East Fork Bitterroot River
on US 93 five miles southeast of Conner. The proposal includes
pavement repair to the highway for about 200 feet beyond both bridge
ends.

Proposed work includes milling the existing surface, applying
a new overlay, and finishing with a chip seal and upgraded pavement
markings. The purpose of the project is to repair the bridge deck to
extend the safe and reliable service life of the structure.

The
project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2022, depending
on completion of all project development activities and availability
of funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations will be
needed.
