Construction Begins Between Plains And Hot Springs

Plains, Montana - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will
replace a timber crossing on MT Highway 28 near Rainbow Lake. The
structure will be replaced with a new concrete box culvert to provide
a safe and stable roadway for the traveling public.

Construction is
planned to begin the week of May 10th with roads closures expected
for up to four days. A detour will be delineated to MT Route 382 and
road closures will be in place at the intersections of MT 28 and MT
200 as well as MT 28 and Route 382. Local traffic only will be
allowed through the road closures.

For the safety of the public and
construction workers, MDT encourages motorists to plan ahead, allow
extra travel time, slow down, and use caution through work zones.
