Proposed a bridge replacement project on Chance Road in Carbon
BELFRY, MONTANA (March 3, 2020) - The Montana Department of
Transportation (MDT) would like to announce and invite the public to
comment on a proposal to replace the bridge on Chance Road that
crosses over the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River in Carbon
Proposed work includes removing the existing bridge and
constructing a new bridge. The roadway approaches will also be
reconstructed as needed to match the grade and width of the new
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in
2023 depending on the completion of all project development
activities and availability of funding.
An important part of
properly planning for future projects is partnering with the
community. The Montana Department of Transportation welcomes the
public to provide ideas and comments on the proposed project.
