Chip Seal Project Planned For Highway 41 Madison County

TWIN BRIDGES, MONTANA (December 5, 2019) - The Montana Department of
Transportation (MDT) would like to announce and invite the public to
comment on the proposal to chip seal about 11.4 miles of Highway 41,
Southwest of Twin Bridges. The project begins near the Point of Rocks
Ranch, at reference post 16.3 and extends northeast for 11.4 miles
ending in Twin Bridges at reference post 27.6

Proposed work includes
chip sealing, new pavement markings, roadside signage, minor bridge
deck work, and guardrail upgrades.  The purpose of the project is to
preserve and increase the life of the pavement and provide upgrades
improving the safety of the traveling public. Construction is
tentatively planned for 2022 depending on availability of funds.

public to provide ideas and comments on the proposed project.
