MDT Proposes York Bridge Project
HELENA, MONTANA (October 21, 2019) - The Montana Department of
Transportation (MDT) would like to announce and seek comment on a
project to perform work on the York bridge located on Secondary 280
(also known as York Road) west of the community of York. The York
bridge project is located near milepost 12.0 where the bridge crosses
the Missouri River (Hauser Reservoir).
Proposed work includes
replacing deteriorated bridge deck joints, performing bridge deck
preservation work and updating adjacent roadway guardrail. The
purpose of the project is to prevent further deterioration and extend
the service life of the bridge.
The proposed project is tentatively
scheduled for construction in 2021 dependent on the completion of all
project development activities and availability of funding. No new
Right-of-Way or utility relocations are currently anticipated.

public to provide ideas and comments on the proposed project.
