Bridge Rehabilitation Project On I 90 In Missoula County



Montana Department of Transportation proposes a bridge rehabilitation
project on Interstate 90 in Missoula County 



ALBERTON, MONTANA
(September 27, 2019)  The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)
would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to
rehabilitate the eastbound Interstate 90 bridge crossing the Clark
Fork River at mile post 80.3 in Missoula County.  



Proposed work
includes resurfacing the existing bridge deck, upgrading the bridge
rail and roadway guardrail, replacement of the bridge deck joints,
spot painting of the steel girders and upgrades to the adjacent
roadway.  The purpose of the project is to repair deteriorated
elements of the bridge to extend the service life.



The project is
tentatively scheduled for construction in 2022, depending on the
completion of all project development activities and availability of
funding. 



An important part of properly planning for future projects
is partnering with the community. Montana Department of
Transportation welcomes the public to provide ideas and comments on
