Montana Department of Transportation to Construct Shared-Use Path
and Sidewalk in Livingston
Livingston, Montana. (July 30, 2019) -
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will be constructing
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) shared-use path and sidewalk
about .35 miles in length along Park Street (Business Route 90) and O
Street in northeast Livingston.
The shared-use path will connect
to an existing path beginning 700 feet southwest of Veterans Bridge
on Park Street at reference post (RP) 55.60 and extends southwest
along the southeast side of Park Street for .32 miles to the
intersection of Park Street and O Street at RP 55.28. The project
transitions to sidewalk along the northeast side of O Street at the
intersection of Park Street and O Street and extends southeast for
150 feet along O Street.
The purpose of the project is to connect to
existing shared-use path on Veterans Bridge, Myer’s River View Trail,
and the new Livingston HealthCare facility.
The project is being
funded with Federal Highway Administration Transportation Alternative
funds and City of Livingston matching funds. The project is being
constructed by JAG Grading and Paving, LLC.
anticipated between August 12, 2019 and October 4, 2019. Drivers
should use caution when construction is occurring at the intersection
of O Street and Park Street.
