Montana Department Of Transportation Proposes Safety Project

Montana Department of Transportation Proposes Safety Project East of
Libby, South of Hot Springs, and East of Drummond.

Libby, Hot
Springs, Drummond, Montana (July 10, 2019)  The Montana Department
of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek
comments on a proposal to install new guardrail at three different
locations. Site #1 is 10.6 miles east of Libby on MT Hwy 37.  Site #2
is 4.6 miles south of Hot Springs on MT Hwy 28.  Site #3 is at the
Gold Creek Interchange 11.9 miles east of Drummond on I-90. 

Proposed work includes installing new guardrail and signing. The
purpose of the project is to improve roadside safety and address
crash trends.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction
in 2022, depending on completion of all project development
activities and availability of funding.

No new Right-of-Way or
utility relocations will be needed.
