Virtual Meeting To Discuss US 191 Corridor Planning Study

MDT to host virtual informational meeting to discuss US 191 Corridor
Planning Study

GALLATIN COUNTY, Montana (July 16, 2020) — The
Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), in partnership with the
Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), local jurisdictions, resource
agencies, and the public, has developed a draft corridor study report
for US Highway 191 in Gallatin County. The study examines the highway
between the intersection with Huffine Lane/Norris Road/Jackrabbit
Lane in Four Corners and the intersection with Beaver Creek Road
south of Montana Highway 64. The draft study report will be posted to
the study website for public review starting July 22, 2020.

The
study identifies short-, mid-, and long-term improvements to address
the safety and traffic operation needs of the corridor. The study
will help ensure an efficient transition from transportation planning
to any future project development and environmental review, depending
on need and funding availability. This planning study is not a design
or construction project.

A virtual informational meeting is being
held to provide study updates, share recommended improvements, and
collect feedback. The meeting will be held during two time periods
and will start with a short presentation followed by a question and
answer period. Please attend whichever time is most convenient for
you.
