The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and VSS International Inc. are pleased to announce that construction on the Armington Junction East project is substantially complete.
Crews may return later this year to complete bridge deck cleaning, but this work is expected to have minimal impact on the traveling public.

This week, the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and VSS International Inc. will apply the final roadway markings throughout the entire project area, weather and other factors permitting.
Once final roadway markings are applied, the Armington East project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
Workers may be present Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During work hours, traffic control will be in place in areas where crews are working. Travelers should expect reduced speeds when traveling through the project area.

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and VSS International Inc. will resume work on Monday, October 16th, to apply final roadway markings, weather and other factors permitting. Once final roadway markings are applied, the Armington East project will be complete.
Activities will continue to be paused this week, with no traffic control in place.

Motorists should expect traffic control, including flaggers, signal lights, pilot cars, and short delays.

Microsurfacing is a sealing treatment where asphalt and crushed rock are placed on the pavement surface to extend the service life of the roadway.
This week, crews will install rumble strips on the side of the roadway. Motorists should expect traffic control, including flaggers, signal lights, pilot cars, and short delays.
