This is a report of road construction on Montana's interstates and major
highways. This report includes information available at the time of preparation.

TRAFFIC FINES DOUBLE in highway work zones. The law also set fines and jail
sentences for reckless endangerment of highway workers.
MINOR DELAYS (up to ten minutes) can be expected through these projects with
anything over ten minutes being noted in the description. Watch for equipment,
flaggers, and workers along the road. Expect reduced speed limits.

Expect single lane closures. Single lane closures in the Northbound
and Southbound lanes from mile marker 128.0 to mile marker 124.1.

Mile Marker 193.2 to 194.4
Helena - Custer Interchange and Helena Valley Canal Bridge. Bridge
work in progress. There is a width restriction of 14 feet. Expect
reduced speed to 35 MPH, intersection work. NHI Route I-15 beginning
at RP 193.2 and extending to RP 194.4. This project also includes
work on Custer Avenue (State Urban Route 5802) beginning at RP 1.4
and extending to RP 3.0. Custer Avenue traffic will be shifted to the
new canal structure. Crossovers will be active on I-15. Oversized
loads can be accommodated on I-15 by calling Steve (406-207-0855)
6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Jerry (406-207-0858) over night to coordinate
movement through the project. Custer Avenue will not be able to
handle oversized loads, especially on the east side of the
interchange.
