MDT Director, Mike Tooley, serves as the Governor's designee of the State Highway Safety Program. Oversight of this program includes formally approving the Comprehensive Highway Safety Plan and managing CHSP Committees.

Remember to Share the Road
Everyone loves Montana's wide open spaces and miles of congestion-free roadways. As the weather improves, drivers need to remember to keep an eye out for motorcyclists, avoid distractions, and safely "share the road."
Motorcycle crashes represent a relatively small proportion of Montana's total crashes, but they do happen. If you're planning to ride your bike this season:
- brush up on your skills
- wear proper protection
- ride responsibly
- be alcohol and drug free
