MDT Announces Aviation Art Contest Winners

HELENA – The Montana Department of
Transportation (MDT) Aviation Awareness Art Contest is sponsored by
the Aeronautics Division and is designed to broaden awareness of the
importance of aviation and aerospace to the economy and to promote
careers in these industries.

"Aviation is important to Montana’s
future and the kids are the future of aviation. The art contest is a
fantastic opportunity to get the youth in communities across the
state excited about aviation, said Tim Conway, Aeronautics
Administrator.

The Montana Department of Transportation would like
to congratulate winners of the 2018 Aviation Awareness Art Contest:

1st place winner for grades k-5 is Liam Capp - Belgrade
1st place
winner for grades 6-8 is Ava Hall - Bigfork
1st place winner for
grades 9-12 is Edna Borntrager - Roundup

Contest winners along with
their parents will attend an awards ceremony on the second floor of
the Helena Regional Airport, Thursday, May 3rd at 10:30 a.m. 
Director Mike Tooley will present all three winners with a trophy,
certificate, and their art work framed for their achievement.
Following the ceremony, the group will tour the Helena Regional
Airport and attend a luncheon.
