CONRAD — The Montana Department of Transportation
(MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal
to resurface about 25.7 miles of Sollid Road (Secondary Highway 218)
east of Conrad in Pondera County.
The project begins at the
intersection with Main Street in Conrad at reference post 0.0 and
extends east for 25.7 miles, ending where the pavement turns to
gravel at reference post 25.7.
Proposed work includes crack sealing
the entire length of the project. The full roadway width from
reference post 8.9 to 25.7 will be seal and covered and fog sealed.
The purpose of the project is to extend the life of the roadway by
sealing the pavement surface.
The project is tentatively scheduled
for construction in 2019, depending on completion of all project
