of Transportation Proposes Safety Enhancement Project to Update
Signing and Delineation at Locations in Madison County
— The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify
the public and seek comments on a proposal to update signing and
highway delineation at the following locations in Madison County:
Site 1 (North of Alder on U.S. Highway 287 from reference post 24.5
to reference post 25.1): Update signing and install panel delineation
through the curve at reference post 24.7.
Site 2 (South of Twin
Bridges on Montana Highway 41 from reference post 16.5 to reference
post 19.5): Update signing and install panel delineation.
work includes updating signing and installation of panel delineation.
The purpose of the project is to address roadway departure crashes.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2019,
depending on completion of all project development activities and
availability of funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations
will be needed.
