Montana Department
of Transportation Proposes Pavement Preservation Project Within
Anaconda City Limits

ANACONDA The Montana Department of
Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek
comments on a proposal to seal and cover about 1.263 miles of roadway
within the Anaconda urban limits.

The project will include 0.137
miles of Sycamore Street from the intersection of West Park Avenue to
the intersection with Pennsylvania Avenue, 1.063 miles of
Pennsylvania Avenue from the intersection of Sycamore Street to the
intersection with Cedar Street, and 0.063 miles of Cedar Street from
the intersection of Front Street to the intersection with
Pennsylvania Avenue.

Proposed work includes seal and cover and
upgraded pavement marking. The purpose of the project is to preserve
the life of the existing pavement and to provide a more
skid-resistant surface.

The project is currently outside the
Tentative Construction Plan. Project construction will depend on
completion of all project development activities and availability of
funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations are anticipated.
