of Transportation Proposes Intersection Safety Improvements on U.S.
Highway 12 and U.S. Highway 93 in the City of Missoula
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify
the public and seek comments on a proposal to provide reflective
backplate tape for the traffic signals on the following two routes:
• U.S. Highway 12: Brooks Street, Higgins Avenue, and South 6th
• U.S. Highway 93: Reserve Street
The purpose of the project
is to help drivers identify the traffic signals.
The project is
tentatively scheduled for construction in 2018, depending on
completion of all project development activities and availability of
funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations will be needed.
