Highway 200

LINCOLN The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)
would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to
complete safety improvements on Montana Highway 200 in Lewis and
Clark County.

Proposed work includes installing panel delineation
and guardrail w-beam delineation at two back-to-back curves between
reference post 87.0 and reference post 88.0, east and west of Mike
Horse Creek Road. In addition, shoulder rumble strips will be
installed for the length of the crash cluster from reference posts
83.0 at Flesher Pass Road and 88.1 just west of Mike Horse Creek
Road. The purpose of this project is to address roadway departure
crashes.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in
2018, depending on completion of all project development activities
and availability of funding. No new right-of-way or utility
relocations will be needed.
