Bozeman - Guardrail Upgrades Proposed For Interstate 90

of Transportation Proposes Guardrail Upgrades on Interstate 90 Near
Bozeman — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)
would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to
upgrade 13.3 miles of guardrail on Interstate 90 east of Bozeman in
Gallatin County. The project begins near the Bear Canyon Interchange
at reference post 313.2 and extends east for 13.3 miles, ending 1.9
miles east of the Hopper Interchange at reference post 326.5.
Proposed work includes installation of new compliant guardrail. The
purpose of the project is to replace all guardrail on Bozeman Hill.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2021,
depending on completion of all project development activities and
availability of funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations
will be needed.
