Gallatin Turn Lanes
April 17, 2014 - Construction has started at the Greek Creek Campground site. Crews are currently working on excavating the large rock outcropping just north of the campground. This activity will continue for approximately 5 more weeks.
Crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Starting approximately April 28th, crews will be working 24 hours per day in an effort to get the work done as quickly as possible.
During work hours, 15 minute delays should be expected throughout the construction season. During rock excavation, delays up to 1 hour can be expected. M.A. DeAtley Construction is anticipating that there will be 3 separate 1 hour delays per week. Due to the nature of the construction, it is not possible to actually schedule the time of the 1 hour delay more than 2 days in advance.
Motorists are reminded to watch for work crews and equipment as well as signs indicating detours, lane closures and reduced speed limits. Posted limits are enforced until signs indicate that the work zone has ended. Fines are double in work zones.
