East Belgrade Interchange Project

Construction Status - July 2014

Detours on I-90 are single lane in each direction and commuters should expect delays of up to 15 minutes between the times of 7:30 and 9:00 am for East bound and between the times of 4:30 and 6:00 PM West Bound.

Weather permitting, starting Monday, July 21st crews will begin work on the re-construction of the Frontage Road area of the project. The initial work zone will extend from just East of the intersection of Frontage Road and Arizona Street and head West along the Frontage Road approximately 800 feet.

Expect one-lane traffic during work hours with portable traffic signals/flaggers and potential delays. Two-way traffic along Frontage Road through the work zone will be restored at the end of each shift. If traveling to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport please allow extra time to ensure a timely arrival.

Arizona Street will be closed to all traffic between Northern Pacific and Frontage Road. Business access will be maintained via the Frontage Road at all times.

Both Westbound and Eastbound I-90 traffic is re-routed through the interstate work zone. Detour routes have been reduced to one lane. Reduced speed limit of 35 mph remain in-place. Westbound I-90 is anticipated to be re-opened through the work zone by mid-August. Eastbound I-90 is anticipated to be re-opened around the end of August.

Motorists are reminded to watch for work crews and equipment, as well as signs indicating reduced speed limits and detours. Posted limits are enforced until signs indicate that the work zone has ended. Fines double in work zones.
