East Belgrade Interchange Project
Construction Status - September 23-26, 2014
Work crews are moving along on the Frontage Road re-construction on and are nearing completion on of the excavation on the South half of Frontage Road. On Wednesday, September 24th, it is anticipated that both travel lanes along Frontage Road will be shifted to the South. With this shift in traffic flow, the entrance to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport will be moved West (directly across from Arizona Street) to the newly constructed Gallatin Field Road. Please watch for signs showing the new entrance into Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
Two lanes of traffic will continue to be maintained throughout the Frontage Road construction zone as space permits. However, please continue to expect reduced speed limits, flaggers, changing traffic patterns and potential delays while traveling through the work zone. Construction through this phase is anticipated to continue through October/November.
In addition to the Frontage Road work zone, crews are working on finishing grading operations along Airway Boulevard between the Interstate and the Frontage Road as well as finishing grading operations and storm drainage improvements through the Interstate on and off ramp locations.
During Frontage Road construction the entrance to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport will remain open at all times. However, please allow extra travel time to assure a timely arrival.
Motorists are reminded to watch for work crews and equipment, as well as signs indicating reduced speed limits and detours. Posted limits are enforced until signs indicate that the work zone has ended. Fines double in work zones.
