SPECIAL PROVISIONS
GUIDE SPECIAL PROVISIONS
The following Guide Special Provisions are for modification by the Design Firms and inclusion in each project as appropriate.
A + B Bidding (CWGS 5/20/04)This special provision requires a bid item for "Calendar Days". In the Estimate, under Quantity list the Road User Cost (which is calculated using MDT's spreadsheet for Road User Cost). Under Unit Price, list the estimated number of Calendar Days. When using this special provision it is important to refer to calendar days instead of working days. Also, allow 6 calendar days per week or 26 calendar days per month.Local Material Sources (CWGS 6/7/04)
Describe general or other site specific requirements under A.3, such as: order in which sites are to be used/depleted; time of day and or seasonal restrictions on when sites can be used; designated haul routes; etc.)Contractor's Water Source Requirements (CWGS 6/7/04)
Requires design firms to select those watersheds that apply and delete the others.Wetland Mitigation (CWGS 7/9/04)
Modify this generic corridor wide special provision to include site-specific requirements and delete any provisions that do not apply to the specific site. If your site includes salvage and replacement of wetland sod, provide a complete description of the work. Specify type of mulch to be used or delete requirement in D.7.Detour - Construct, Maintain And Remove (CWGS 6/24/04)
Use this guideline, in lieu of Standard Special Provision G1, for development of a special provision when a detour is detailed in the contract plans. Items A through F should be covered in detail.One-Lane Traffic (CWGS 3/25/04)
