Proposed Resurfacing On Interstate 90 East/West Of Goldcreek

Goldcreek, Montana - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)
would like to announce and invite the public to comment on a proposal
to resurface about 10 miles of Interstate 90, east and west of
Goldcreek across Granite and Powell Counties. The project begins just
east of Jens Interchange and extends east ending about 1 mile west of
Garrison Junction.

Proposed work includes a full-width crack seal,
chip seal, and fog seal of the roadway and the interchange ramps and
crossroads. In addition, new pavement markings, signing and
delineation, and shoulder rumble strips will be installed. The
purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the pavement.

The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2023,
depending on completion of all project development activities and
availability of funding. No new right-of-way or utility relocations
will be needed.

An important part of properly planning for future
projects is partnering with the community. The Montana Department of
Transportation welcomes the public to provide ideas and comments on
the proposed project. Comments may be submitted online at or in writing to
Montana Department of Transportation, Missoula office at PO Box 7039,
Missoula, MT 59807-7039. Please note that comments are for project
