Proposed Bridge Work On Rock Creek Bridge Near Rockvale

Rockvale, MT - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would
like to announce and invite the public to comment on a proposal to
rehabilitate the Rock Creek bridge approximately .25 miles south of
Rockvale.

Proposed work includes resurfacing the bridge deck,
upgrading the bridge approach rail, repairing joints and other minor
work. The purpose of the project is to improve the bridge deck
surface condition and prolong the life of the existing bridge.

The
project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2024, depending
on completion of all project development activities and availability
of funding. New right-of-way and utility relocations are not
anticipated at this time. MDT staff will contact all affected
landowners prior to doing survey work on their land.

An important
part of properly planning for future projects is partnering with the
community. The Montana Department of Transportation welcomes the
public to provide ideas and comments on the proposed project.
