Virtual Self-guided Open House for Woodland Avenue and 2nd Street
East/Conrad Drive Intersection Improvement Project

MONTANA – (September 11, 2020) The Montana Department of
Transportation (MDT) in coordination with the City of Kalispell would
like to invite the public to view and comment on the option
identified to improve the Woodland Avenue and 2nd Street East/Conrad
intersection. The project is generally located at the southwest
corner of Woodland Park.

To maintain social distancing practices,
while also keeping the community informed about the project, MDT is
hosting a virtual self-guided open house until October 2, 2020. The
virtual self-guided open house can be found at:

A single lane mini-roundabout has
been identified as the most appropriate intersection control and the
project is entering the design phase. The purpose of the project is
to reduce the frequency and severity of crashes, accommodate
pedestrian and bicycle traffic, and to the extent possible, fit the
improvements within the existing intersection and right-of-way

An important part of properly planning for future
projects is partnering with the community. Montana Department of
Transportation welcomes the public to provide ideas and comments on
the proposed project. Comments may be submitted online at or in writing to Montana
Department of Transportation, Missoula office at PO Box 7039,
Missoula, MT 59807-7039. Please note that comments are for project
