MDT Proposes a Pavement Preservation Project for
Interstate 15 in
Great Falls – Cascade County
Great Falls, Montana (July 10, 2019) —
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify
the public and seek comments on a proposal to improve about 11.5
miles of Interstate 15 in and around Great Falls. The project begins
north of the Ulm Interchange at reference post 270.8 and extends
northeast for 11.5 miles ending south of the Northwest Bypass at
reference post 282.2.
Proposed work includes a seal and cover (chip
seal) and upgraded pavement markings. The purpose of the project is
to maintain the surface of the roadway.
The project is tentatively
scheduled for construction in 2020, depending on completion of all
project development activities and availability of funding.
Right-of-Way or utility relocations will be needed.
