The Flood Watch is cancelled for a portion of north central Idaho, 

including the following area, Northern Clearwater Mountains.



The flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flood Watch is being 

cancelled.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be 

  possible.



* WHERE...A portion of central Idaho, including the following areas, 

  Lower Hells Canyon/Salmon River Region, Orofino/Grangeville Region 

  and Southern Clearwater Mountains.



This includes the following Specific Areas...

Grangeville, Highway 95 from Riggins to Whitebird, Riggins, Shepp 

Ranch near the Salmon River, Indian Creek near the Salmon River, 

Mackay Bar near the Salmon River, China Bar, Highway 95 north of 

Riggins and Williams Creek Fire Burn Area.



* WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT this evening.



* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, 

  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. 

  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur 

  in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be 

  flooded.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - Showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening. Flood

    prone areas remain at risk for flood impacts through 1100 PM

    PDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood 

Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared 

to take action should flooding develop.
