...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY...

At 607 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles northwest of Billings Heights, or 16 miles northwest of
Billings, moving northeast at 10 mph.

Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Acton and Comanche. 

This advisory does not include the city of Billings.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 626 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
U L Bend Rec Area, or 41 miles southeast of Zortman, moving south at
5 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Crooked Creek Rec Area and U L Bend Rec Area. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
If on or near Fort Peck Lake by the UL Bend, get out of the water 
and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, sudden wind gusts 
can swamp or tip smaller craft and lightning can strike up to 10 
miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are 
close enough to be struck by lightning or swamped by downburst 
winds. Move off the lake and to safe shelter now! Do not be caught 
on the water in a thunderstorm.

At 523 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles southwest of Lowell, or 16 miles southeast of Kamiah, moving
west at 10 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Clearwater and Stites. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

PM MDT...

At 1155 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles north of White Sulphur Springs. This storm was nearly
stationary.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Meagher
County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
