At 116 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 18
miles west of Whitefish, or 23 miles northwest of Kalispell, moving
southeast at 20 mph.

Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with 
this storm. Lightning will be possible with this storm, and those 
outdoors should take heed of changing conditions near them.

Locations impacted include...
Kalispell, Evergreen, Kila and Marion. 


Frequent cloud to ground lightning is possible with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

...Isolated to widely scattered mountain thunderstorms expected
through early this evening...

Isolated to widely scattered mountain thunderstorms are developing
late this afternoon across the Treasure State. Thunderstorms will
generally remain confined along and west of Interstate 15 from 
Vaughn north to the Canadian border. Otherwise, thunderstorms will
remain confined near or over the mountainous areas. 
Lightning...gusty winds...and small hail will be the main threats.
Those outdoors should seek shelter if a storm approaches. 
Remember when thunder roars...go indoors!
