Young & Senior Drivers

The percentage of crashes involving young drivers between the ages 15 to 20 has not changed significantly during the past 19 years. Elderly drivers have experienced increases during this same period. People are living longer and older drivers now make up a larger percentage of licensed drivers in Montana. Over the next 15 years, there will be a steady growth in the number of drivers over 60 years of age and an increase in "high risk" teen and young adult drivers.
OUR GOALS
  • Reduce severe injuries to persons from motor vehicle crashes below 1,700 by 2009.
