Conrad - Road Resealing Project For I-15 In Pondera County

of Transportation Proposes Road Resealing Project on Interstate 15 in
CONRAD — The Montana Department of Transportation
(MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal
to reseal about 9.0 miles of Interstate 15 (I-15) north and south of
Conrad in Pondera County. The project begins 1.2 miles south of the
Midway Interchange at reference post 334.3 and extends north for 9.0
miles, ending 3.5 miles north of Conrad at reference post 343.3.
proposed work includes crack sealing, seal and cover (chip seal), and
upgraded pavement markings on I -15 including the ramps and cross
roads at the Midway and Conrad interchanges. The purpose of the
project is to add skid resistance and extend the life of the roadway
by sealing the surface.
The project is tentatively scheduled for
construction in 2018, depending on completion of all project
development activities and availability of funding. No new
right-of-way or utility relocations will be needed.
