MDT proposes an Access Management Plan for U.S. Highway 93 South in
the Hamilton area and schedules an open house to discuss plan –
Hamilton - The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like
to notify the public and seek comments on the draft access management
plan for U.S. Highway 93 in the Hamilton area. The plan begins at
Angler’s Roost Bridge just south of Hamilton, at reference post 43.7
and extends north through Hamilton for 5.3 miles, ending just south
of the Bitterroot River at reference post 49.0.
The plan will identify a long-term conceptual strategy to help
preserve efficient traffic flow along U.S. Highway 93 while providing
reasonable access to adjacent properties and businesses. One public
informational meeting and individual contacts with adjacent property
owners has occurred during the development of the plan. This is the
final public project meeting.

MDT has scheduled an open house to discuss the draft proposed plan.
The open house will start at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 23, 2014, at
the Bedford Building/Hamilton Community Center, 223 S. 2nd St,
Hamilton, MT and continue until 9 p.m. Staff from MDT and the
engineering consultant firm will be present to answer questions.
There will not be a formal presentation.
Community participation is a very important part of the process, and
the public is encouraged to attend. Opinion, comments and concerns
