Fraudulent Letter Notice

There have been several incidents reported to FMCSA by motor carriers who have received faxed "DOT Letterhead" letters
requesting financial and banking disclosure information. These letters have DOT Procurement Office listed as the Point of
Contact. The letters are fraudulent and we are working with the Inspector General Office.
If you receive a similar fax requesting financial information, please forward all inquiries to the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Security.
